As the world cup is fast approaching Russia is taking all forms of preparation to the climax from the government to her team, not leaving any stone unturned.
Russia is promising her visitors to the world cup adequate security. The Islamic State and the Al-Qaeda have been making threats of all kind against the country due to the fact that Moscow stepped-in in the Syrian conflict but even at that, Russia is still ready to host and for security purposes have withheld the number of police to be deployed. And to that 41 locations have being marked prohibited to any the machine that flies, from drones to planes. Further reports have stated that flying drones has been made illegal in Moscow including the hotels of the 32 teams.
With a total number of 32 teams, Russia have prepare. 12 different Stadia beginning from June 14 at Luzhniki Stadium which is the largest with a capacity of 80,000 seats and rounds up in the same place on July 15, a total of 65matches will be played during this tournament.
Russia transport system doesn’t smile to the pocket and due to complaint made of laid about this, it has been the decision for Russia to transit fans during this period without a penny. Free trains and other forms of transportation decorated with the FIFA WC’s posters have being deployed to help in this activity only to those who have a form of ID known as Fan ID which is registered online. This trains runs few hours before and later in the day probably at night.
Russia don’t expect you to sleep on the street, so provisions have being made on housing this time around making it cheaper, there are lot of hotels and apartments for visiting fans but the issue is that is running out of stock due to high demands to the extent an apartment could be chosen by different people.
Team Russia is not showing any form of drawback at the moment, topping up their game, the coach had been putting his team on a mandatory diet for a while now and just concluded their last friendly with Turkey just nine days to the world cup.
Yeah the stomach should also be kept in mind but not to worry, even Moscow being one of the most expensive city when it comes to cost of living you, can still get a good meal of about $6. And for those that will need to spot a restaurant easily, apps like TripAdvisor and Foursquare will do the magic.
As you can see, the tournament is a few days away with everything being placed to suit the comfort of both local and international fans, so the question is how are you preparing from your end? Below are some lovely pictures of Russia as it begins to host the world.
