Watford have sacked their Manager, Marco Silva for a drop…
Inter Milan captain, Mauro Icardi became only the 5th player to score a hat-trick in the Milan derby tonight as his team defeated city rivals AC Milan 3-2 at the San Siro to take them just 2 points behind league leaders Napoli who they meet next Saturday.
Inter dominated the first half and led at halftime with a 28th minute goal by Icardi. However, AC Milan came out in the 2nd half very aggressive and Suso equalized with a superb short from outside the penalty area. They pressed to take the lead but they gifted possession to Icardi in their own half and he punished them with a 2nd goal after a bursting run and pass to Ivan Perisic who duly obliged with a run and cross that the Argentinian finished exquisitely in the 63rd minute.
AC Milan felt hard-done but kept playing well and Giacomo Bonaventura stole-in on the far post to poke the ball across the line despite Inter’s goalkeeper Handanovic’s best attempts. The game was tied at 2-2 in the 81st minute. The feeling was that the game would end in a draw like the last 2 derbies. However, Icardi had other ideas and after being brought-down by Ricardo Rodriguez in the penalty box from a corner, he duly converted the resultant penalty kick to complete a famous hat-trick.
