Letter to Nigerians on Christmas

It was the legendary English-born, American Comedian Bob Hope that once said: “My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”

Remembering the seers of the good old days

For over three decades, dating back from the glorious era of the 70s, 80s and the 90s, the Nigerian socio-political landscape fell into the pervasive influence of seers, who dominated the scene with their acclaimed paranormal ability to foresee the future.

National unity through inter-tribal marriages

The end of year is here. It is the Christmas season and a holiday period when people make out time to go home to the country sides and villages to see loved ones whom they have been away from in the course of the year. This is also a period for checking out on prospective brides, traditional marriage preparations as well as the introduction of prospective brides and grooms who may have met each other in the cities or outside their own locality of origin.

I had wanted to cook and be in church early for rehearsals. Just then I started thinking, taking stock of all that had happened throughout that year.

Triggers of favour

There are spiritual buttons that you can press to provoke and invoke favour upon yourself. First, locate where favour is and go there. Everyone that identifies with the favour of Noah became a beneficiary from that favour and they were saved from that disaster that ended their generation.

Christ was not born on December 25

Primitive Christianity knew much about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To the 12 apostles of the Lord the name ‘Christmas’ might have sounded a little strange for there is no Biblical evidence to show that they knew about the ‘Mass’ off Christ which Christmas simple means.
