That the English national football team, ‘The Three Lions’ have captured the imagination of their countrymen is a bit of an understatement. For the first time since 1990, England are in the semi-finals of the World Cup and the English this time have a firm basis to believe their team can win the tournament which they only won once in 1966 when they hosted it.
A lot of the credit for the success of the England Team has been based on the Manager, Gareth Southgate whose simple but effective approach and unassuming nature has ensured that there is little or no rancour in or around the squad.
Now, it seems his signature waistcoat is catching on has today has been declared ‘Waistcoast Wednesday’ in England with the #WaistcoastWednesday being used on social media.
The news is that Marks & Spencer have run out of waistcoats based on the increased demand.
Let’s have a look at some of the waistcoats being worn today by English fans as their team face Croatia in the semifinal of Russia 2018 with the winner set to meet France this Sunday in the final in Moscow after they defeated Belgium 1-0 last night.
