Ivorian international midfielder and former Newcastle United star, Cheikh Tiote passed on yesterday after slumping in training with his Chinese club, Beijing Enterprises, efforts to revive him failed.
A lot of people around the world including his former manager at Newcastle United, Alan Pardew, Steve McLaren who coached him at FC Twente in the Netherlands and Newcastle United, Gareth Bale and Jonas Gutierrez have paid tributes.
However, a tweet by one of Tiote’s friends, Yusuf Abubakar Tumi reveals what might have been his last phone chat before his death:
