Fiorentina captain and Italian international, Davide Astori has died in…
After accusing Anthony Joshua of sleeping with his wife last year, British boxer Amir Khan today confirmed that he has signed-up with the heavyweight champion’s promoter, Eddie Hearn for a 3-match fight deal. The boxer tweeted:
Delighted to confirm I’ve signed a three-fight deal with
@EddieHearn & @MatchroomBoxing. I’ll be fighting live on @SkySportsBoxing on April 21st in Liverpool. Can’t tell you how excited I am to fight in the UK once again. #BackToBusiness
Khan admitted he had embarrassed himself with the whole Anthony Joshua saga while speaking to British press in November 2017 saying:
“I think if you look at the whole situation, it was all just silly, starting with the texts, then when I accused her of messaging Joshua, it was all just nonsense really from the start.
“And then when we sat down and thought ‘Look, we’ve got a family’. Also she’s expecting so we have to think for the kids. In life you have to forgive. We have to move forward and move on from things like that.
“That’s part of life. You always make mistakes and it’s about coming through them and not making them mistakes again.
“I made a few silly mistakes. I did put my life on social media, I assumed things which were wrong. So I kind of embarrassed myself.”
This could have helped him reconcile with Joshua and now sign with his promoter.
